ECO-Block is a stay in place, insulated concrete forming (ICF) system. ECO-Block modular ICF blocks are erected to create a form for casting concrete walls from 4 to 24 inches thick for residential or commercial buildings. After the concrete is set, the ECO-Block form remains in place to serve as insulation and furring to which any standard interior or exterior finish can be applied.

Being monolithic (one-piece), steel reinforced concrete means that your ECO-Block structure will never be eaten by termites and will resist the forces of hurricanes, tornados, and earthquakes. The completed ECO-Block wall has a fire resistance rating of 3 hours (6 inch concrete) or longer and has an ignition temperature higher than that of pine. Each ECO-Block panel provides insulation of R-11 and as built for standard applications (using two panels, one on each side) they provide a rating of R-22. However, because of the extremely dense concrete core (thermal mass) that serves as a heat loss buffer, ECO-Block walls are insulated against temperature changes so well that a comparable wall built with standard wood frame construction would require insulation rated at over R-50 to even compare to the energy efficiency of an ECO-Block wall! The ICF insulation also has a sound transmission class of 50 or better effectively shielding out street noise.

The EPS foam sidewalls of ECO-Block forms enable concrete to be poured in all types of weather including in wet and cold weather. Each web is clearly marked (every 8 inches) for the easy attachment of interior and exterior finishes and the nailing strip is recessed ¼" to provide a smooth surface for stucco application. Corners also have the necessary nailing strips thatnks to ECO-Block's patent pending design. Tongue and groove at the top and bottom of each block allows for tight and stable course to course interlock. EPS sidepanels can be easily cut to allow concealed placement of plumbing and electrical lines.
